« I have to say, I really enjoyed testing the 2010 Opus Lugano. This bike is comfortable, fun to ride and handles well. It is a great commuter bicycle for cyclists of all experience levels. This stylish bike, part of Opus Bikes’ Urbanista series, features full fenders, rear rack, chain cover, kickstand and comfortable all-rounder handlebars as stock items. The faux leather grips, saddle accents and paint-matched rims give this bicycle a classic European look. As someone who likes more of an upright city cruiser riding experience, the Opus Lugano was perfectly suited for me both in form and function.

Featuring a smooth Shimano Nexus Internal seven-speed hub and stop-on-a-dime Nexave BR-IM50 roller brakes, the Opus Lugano makes an excellent bike for getting around the city in all kinds of weather conditions. The bike’s relatively lightweight aluminum 6061 frame is easy to lift up staircases into apartments and is still quite solid and stable to ride. The entire build weighs under 34 pounds (15 kilograms).

While I did find the Ora Voyage saddle a bit uncomfortable on longer rides, it didn’t take away from the overall functionality of this bike. Overall, the Opus Lugano feels solid, reliable and well-made. opusbike.com »
